For children with ADHD, routines are critical, and parents can help reinforce those routines by creating daily schedules. Be sure to include times for wake-up, meals, snacks, homework, recreation, and bed. If you need to make a change, include it on the schedule as far in advance as possible. Finally, remember to post the schedule in a place where both of you can see it easily, such as on the refrigerator.
